Time difference
Vietnam is 6 hours ahead of Portugal (7 hours in winter). When it is 10:30am in Vietnam, it is 4:30am in Lisbon. Urgent results are timed in Vietnam time, so tell me your flight time in your own time zone and I'll work it out for you.
Don't do this
- Don't fly hoping for a visa on arrival. Without an e-visa or approval letter, the airline can refuse to board you.
- Don't submit a second application if you already applied on evisa.gov.vn. I can speed up the one you have.
- Don't guess the entry date. It must be on or before your arrival date. See arriving early.

Do Portuguese citizens need a visa for Vietnam?
Yes. Portuguese passport holders are not visa-exempt and need an e-visa, valid for up to 90 days.
I'm already at the airport with a Portuguese passport and no Vietnam e-visa. Can I still fly?

Not without arranging it first. You need an approved e-visa or an approval letter before you fly, or the airline may refuse to board you.
